Sony’s First-Party Studios Are ‘Kind of Experimenting with’ Project Morpheus

Sony has confirmed that its range of first-party studios are currently ‘experimenting’ with the newly-announced PlayStation 4 virtual reality (VR) headset, Project Morpheus. So far only one VR title from a first-party studio has been confirmed: The Deep from Sony’s London Studio.

DriveClub_1Speaking at the Driving the Future of Innovation Presentation at GDC, Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida claimed that he was ‘expecting’ other studios to work on VR integration.

“The Deep is done by London Studio,” Yoshida said when asked which Sony-owned studios were working on PS4 VR. “The other studios are kind of… ‘experimenting’. I’m expecting more studios to work on something…”

Aside from The Deep, CCP’s EVE: Valkyrie was also confirmed to be headed to Project Morpheus. VRFocus will keep you up to date with all of the projects to support the device.
