Tabletop Simulator is Greenlit on Steam

Beserk Games’ Tabletop Simulator has officially passed its Greenlight campaign on Valve’s Steam digital storefront. That means it will release on the service come launch, which is being targeted for April 2014. The title supports virtual reality (VR) with the Oculus Rift headset.

TabletopSimulator_1“Thank you SO much everyone for your support!” the developer wrote in a Steam update. “We ended up with over 10,700 ‘yes’ votes, ended up in rank #8 and got Greenlit today!

“So you’ll be definitely seeing a Steam store page for Tabletop Simulator in the near future!”

Tabletop Simulator is an online board game title in which players can compete in 15 custom game modes with anything from card games to chess. However players aren’t restricted by a set of rules and have free reign over how to play, including being able to knock an opponents pieces over at their will. The title passed its $3,000 USD Kickstarter funding goal on 13th, March 2014.

Kickstarter backers that pledged $45 and above should get the title on early access this month. VRFocus will continue to follow Tabletop Simulator‘s progress and report back with all the latest.
