Oculus Rift Support Confirmed for Caffeine

Developer Dylan Browne has confirmed that his upcoming indie horror title Caffeine will support the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset at launch. Browne had previously confirmed that he was looking into VR compatibility but today updated his IndieGoGo funding campaign page to confirm support. Caffeine is a first-person horror experience for PC, with possible PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions in the pipeline.

Caffeine will support the Oculus Rift on launch, allowing for unmatched immersion when exploring the world of Caffeine,” Browne confirmed on his page.

Caffeine casts players as a young boy that wakes up on a derelict caffeine mining plant. You explore the facility, trying to piece together what has happened and overcoming traps and puzzles. The title is hoping to raise $80,000 AUD before 14th May 2014 on IndieGoGo and release in early 2015. A new trailer for the experience released earlier this week showcasing the title’s puzzles.

VRFocus will continue to follow Caffeine‘s progress and bring you all the latest.
