Futuristic VR Racer Revealed by UK Studio

Tammeka has today teased the first details of their debut project; a virtual reality (VR) videogame by the name of Radial-G. Little is currently known about the title, however a debut teaser trailer, images and details of the first public showcase have been revealed to VRFocus.

A new UK studio formed of ex-Black Rock Studios and NCsoft developers, Tammeka’s short teaser clearly reveals that the videogame is inspired by futuristic racing videogames such as F-Zero. The team has already confirmed that the videogame is up-and-running on PC with Oculus Rift compatibility and will be made available in public for the first time this evening at Kotaku UK’s ‘I Am Arcade’ event. A two-player competitive version of the videogame will be playable for all attendees.

The screenshots seen on this page confirm the science-fiction setting but little else. VRFocus has contacted Tammeka for more details and will keep you updated with all the latest on Radial-G. In the meantime the debut trailer is available to view below.

  1. Notice the ps2 like graphics. This is important for VR in it’s primitive state, in order to achieve high frame rates and low latency
