VR Headset ANTVR Shown Working on Xbox 360

ANTVR has released a new look at its upcoming all-in-one virtual reality (VR) headset that shows the device working on the Xbox 360. The video, which can be seen below, proves the the technology is compatible with Microsoft’s last-generation console, including the controller’s motion detection. The company claims that the device will also work with the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC and Android devices.

The footage first shows ANTVR’s motion sensing controller being used to control the camera of a first-person shooter that looks to be from the Crysis series. A second clip shows the title actually being played with a headset on, while the first and final look shows just how the device is connected to the console, including a look at the title running from within the headset itself.

ANTVR recently passed a Kickstarter campaign for $200,000 USD and is hoping to add an improved OLED screen into the device by reaching a $500,000 stretch goal. The campaign is due to close on 23rd June 2014, with developer kits of the device being shipped the following July and Kickstarter beta kits arriving in September. VRFocus will continue to follow the device’s progress and report back with any more updates.
