Indie developer Lucid VR has released a new trailer for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) exclusive title ZVR Apocalypse. The trailer, which was made for the upcoming Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR) Conference & Expo on 19th and 20th May 2014, showcases brand new footage from the first-person shooter (FPS) experience, which is being developed for the Oculus Rift VR headset.
The footage gives us a glimpse of the title’s unusal start menu, which shows the gruesome zombies standing in front of the player, before heading into a desert-set level in which players fend off hordes of the undead using a stationary mounted machine gun. It certainly seems to have come a fair way since the trailer for the 2014 Game Developer’s Conference, with smoother animations and more detailed character models and environments.
It’s not yet clear just how and when ZVR Apocalypse will release. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with all the latest updates.
