nDreams have today revealed their first commercial virtual reality (VR) videogame, The Assembly. Currently in development for both Oculus Rift on PC and PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus, The Assembly is an adventure videogame designed from the ground-up to make use of the strengths of VR. VRFocus recently sat down with nDreams CEO, Patrick O’Luanaigh, to discuss The Assembly and the hurdles the studio has had to overcome during the development process.
As a UK studio convinced that VR is the way forward, nDreams have famously dedicated the vast majority of their resources to VR development. A technical demo released last year, SkyDIEving, showcases how quickly the studio got to grips with VR, however The Assembly is the first product that nDreams will officially release to consumers. No date has yet been set, though O’Luanaigh assures that The Assembly will be ready for the launch of both the Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus. You can watch the full interview with O’Luanaigh below and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on The Assembly.
