Project CARS Gets its E3 2014 Trailer

Slightly Mad Studios has been very forward with is support for virtual reality (VR) headsets with its upcoming racing simulation title, Project CARS. The developer had already confirmed support for the Oculus Rift with the upcoming title’s PC version, and recently confirmed that it would also be ‘one of the first‘ to feature support for the Project Morpheus VR headset on PlayStation 4. Now the title has received an E3 2014 trailer to show us just how well its shaping up.

Just under two minutes of footage from the racing experience can be seen in the trailer below. It gives us an in-depth look at a wide range of cars that are set to feature in the experience. It also explains that players will be able to follow both focus on a certain type of race that appeals to them or try and tackle the title’s wide range of options and racing styles from kart racing to rallies.

The end of the footage reconfirms that Project CARS is due for release in November 2014, though doesn’t provide a specific release date past that. It’s likely, then, that Project Morpheus support will be patched in after the title’s release, as Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) isn’t expected to release the headset until 2015. The Oculus Rift on the other hand will likely support the title from day one. VRFocus will continue to follow the development of Project CARS, bringing you the very latest.
