Since its E3 2014 showing at the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) booth, upcoming first-person shooter SUPERHOT has remained relatively quiet. The videogame’s developers announced earlier this month that it was relocating to a bigger office, but have remained silent since. Now it has been confirmed that the team’s Piotr Iwanicki will be speaking at an upcoming developer conference in Poland.
Iwanicki, who works as the creative director on SUPERHOT, is set to speak at The World of Gamedev Knowledge (WGK), which takes place on 6th – 7th September 2014 in Gdansk, Poland. Fans of the title might remember that its prototype version was in fact created at a development jm at WGK 2013, long before it became the stunning Kickstarter success that saw the project raise over $250,000 USD.
The developer will be speaking about a range of topics including creating a great idea, building product awareness and launching a successful Kickstarter campaign. This is a developer-focused conference, so new details about SUPERHOT itself aren’t likely to be announced. The title, which tasks players with eliminating all enemies in an environment with the world moving only when they do, if aiming to release in June 2015.
When SUPERHOT does launch it will be with full support for the Oculus Rift on PC, Mac and Linux. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development going forward, reporting back with any more updates.
