Just yesterday VRFocus reported that Tammeka Games has acquired a Project Morpheus development kit which will enable them to begin development on the PlayStation 4 version of Radial-G. Following that revelation, Producer Sam Watts has taken the time to talk with VRFocus about what this means to the them and the development cycle of Radial-G.
“We met Shuhei Yoshida, the president of the Worldwide Studios for Sony, and he had a go [on Radial-G],” stated Watts in an interview with VRFocus. “We will now be looking towards accelerating our [Project] Morpheus development as well.”
Radial-G is a futuristic racing videogame designed for, but not exclusive to, virtual reality (VR) gameplay. VRFocus recently delivered a hands-on preview of Radial-G, stating: “Angling for the short turn on the corners and moving across the breadth of the track for the floor-level boosts will become instinctive before the first lap is through; Radial-G is well positioned to take advantage of the inherent knowledge earned through years of playing it’s inspiration.”
The title is currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign and will eventually see release on a multitude of formats including PC, mobile devices and, of course, PlayStation 4. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Radial-G and other VR projects from Tammeka Games.
