Senza Peso Coming to PAX with Epic Games

In June 2014 indie developer Kite & Lightning launched a virtual reality (VR) mini opera experience by the name of Senza Peso, which supported a short film made by the developer. Since then Senza Peso has proved exceedingly popular within the VR community, even revealing an updated build with support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display’s (HMD) second development kit (DK2) at shows such as the Develop Conference. This week sees the software head to PAX Prime in Seattle.

Senza Peso will once again be on display under Epic Games’ stand, showcasing VR integration with the developers’ Unreal Engine 4. Presumably this will give attendees the chance to try out not only the mini-opera but also the Oculus Rift DK2, which features positional tracking allowing users to move their heads around in an experience, as well as a 1080p OLED display with reduced latency when using that positonal tracking.

Senza Peso won’t be the only VR title available to sample at PAX Prime this year. The Indie Megabooth will host a number of other experiences from the likes of Enemy Starfighter to Darknet. VRFocus will be at PAX Prime to bring you all the latest updates from the show.
