Gamescom 2014 isn’t set to take place until next week from 13th – 17th August but that hasn’t stopped the developers of the upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible massively multiplayer online (MMO) experience Wander releasing a new trailer for the event, which can be seen below. The title is in development for PC with support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display and PlayStation 4.
The trailer clocks in at 40 seconds and provides plenty of in-game footage of Wander, mainly taking a look at the title’s varied environments. There’s also a glimpse of the new Griffin creature that was teased in new screenshots for the videogame last month. Wander itself will be at Gamescom this year as part of the Indie Megabooth available in Hall 10. It’s not clear which version of the title will be playable and if VR support will be dhown at the event.
Wander is a non-combat, non-competitive MMO in which players control living trees, working together to explore a tropical fantasy island. The title’s developer recently revealed that it was aiming to release an alpha version of the title in September 2014. Though the title is coming to PlayStation 4, support for the Project Morpheus VR HMD is yet to be confirmed. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any further updates.
