For Each Our Roads of Winter Launches Greenlight Campaign

Every once in a while an indie developer presents a videogame that boasts a visual fidelity that rivals work from even the most big budget projects. This was most recently seen with Endnight Games’ The Forest and now developer Studio Ludibrium looks to have pulled such a feat with For Each Our Roads of Winter. This PC, Mac and Linux-bound adventure title features full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) and has recently launched a Steam Greenlight campaign.

Much of For Each Our Roads of Winter remains shrouded in mystery for now, although it is confirmed to be a first-person exploration title inspired by the works of the likes Myst developer Cyan Worlds. The developer continues to drop cryptic hints about the title’s story via a viral Twitter account, but suggests on the Greenlight page that players will ‘uncover the secrets of a past that never was’. The title, which is currently in a Pre-Alpha stage, is being developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4.

Studio Ludibrium has said that pricing and a release date for For Each Our Roads of Winter will be announced when they are ready. It’s not clear just how many episodes there might be in the series or how long gaps between releases will be. VRFocus will continue to follow For Each Our Roads of Winter going forward, reporting back with any further updates on the title’s progress and development.
