Earlier this week indie developers Jon Hibbins and Nick Pittom posted their upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible dungeon crawling videogame, Crystal Rift, onto Steam’s Greenlight service. Should the title secure enough positive votes then it will be approved for sale on Vavle’s digital store when it launches in Summer 2015. As part of the Greenlight campaign the developers have released a new trailer for the title, which can now be seen below.
Clocking in at 50 seconds, the trailer gives players a small taste of what to expect from Crystal Rift‘s dungeon crawling adventures. Players move through environments on a square-based grid, meaning that proceed one step at a time. As the trailer shows, they will have to avoid various traps and dangers as they progress through a dungeon environment, with other environmental themes promised for the title’s later acts.
Crystal Rift will launch with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress moving forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
