The Virtual Dutch Men Tease New VR Architecture Experience

You may have already heard of The Virtual Dutch Men. This indie developer has already released two virtual reality (VR) experiences for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). The first is Lava Inc., a unique VR roller coaster in which players tour an underground facility. More recently the team also revealed the world’s first one-to-one VR roller coaster in Helix – The Next Level. Now the studio is teasing its third project, which looks to move away from roller coasters.

The Virtual Dutch Men today posted a tweet, which reads: “#Teaser for all you @Oculus #VR fans. Slick architecture #experience incoming for price of a retweet! #TheSmellOfWood,” with an image of the experience also being posted, as seen below. It showcases an picturesque living space in the country side. No other details about the project were announced, although the developer later said that it will reveal more once this initial tweet has hit 50 retweets.

VR is no stranger to architecture experiences already, with fans recreating iconic structures while other developers are working towards more fleshed out simulations that look to start delivering on the potential the technology holds for the industry. What will The Virtual Dutch Men offer to help this new experience stand out for other architecture titles? VRFocus will continue to follow the project closely, reporting back with any further updates on it.
