Last month VRFocus reported on the line-up of virtual reality (VR) related talks set to take place at this year’s Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) on 11th – 13th November in San Francisco, California. Five of the six talks that were revealed at that time were to take place on 12th November. Recently the company has revealed three new sessions that will join ‘The Human Perceptual System in Virtual Reality’ to be hosted by Oculus VR’s Richard Yeo on November 13th.
The first of these talks is ‘Interacting with VR Today and Tomorrow’ starting at 10:00 PST. This is a panel session that will include the likes of Sixense CEO Amir Rubin and Virtualizer CEO Jan Goetgeluk. Next up is ‘Creating a playable VR environment with Unity and Samsung Gear VR’ at 16:00 with Mark Schoennagel, a Senior Evangelist at Unity. Rounding out the list is ‘Developing high-performance apps for Gear VR’ at 17:00, another panel including Schoennagel and Hougant Chen, the Engineering Lead at Reload Studios, which recently teased its first VR project.
These talks join an already comprehensive list of sessions taking place at SDC. Of course, these events won’t be all there is to see in terms of VR at SDC. No doubt Samsung will be showcasing its Gear VR smartphone-based HMD which is thought to be launching in the near future. Sixense will even be showing its STEM system motion controller working with the device. VRFocus will be at SDC 2014 to bring you all of the latest updates on VR.
