Private Eye Website Relaunched

Back in September 2014 upcoming virtual reality (VR) videogame Private Eye released a new teaser demo to help build attention as the title heads towards an as-of-yet undated Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign. Now the developer has overhauled the official website for Private Eye, providing fans with new information, footage, images and teases for the experience, which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) on PC.

The new site explains the premise of Private Eye, in which players are cast as Detective Sam Sunderland following an accident that has left in paralysed in the lower half of his body and struggling with amnesia. Players will help Sunderland solve a series of murders by following the lives of neighbours that live across the street from him using a pair of binoculars. Sunderland’s memories will improve as players learn more about the back-stories and motives of those he observes.

The website also reassures that Private Eye is on its way to Kickstarter, though doesn’t provide any further details about exactly when it might reach the crowd-funding platform. Aspects such as funding goals and possible stretch goals are also yet to be revealed. VRFocus will continue to follow Private Eye‘s progress as it heads towards Kickstarter, reporting back with any further updates on the title.
