It’s been a big year for the Silicion Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR) group, which has grown from the occasional meetup to one of the more prominent events for the VR industry. Back in May 2014 the group hosted the first professional consumer VR conference at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. Next month the group will return this location to host the SVVR Holiday Party, featuring a line-up of presentations from VR software and hardware developers.
The SVVR Holiday Party takes place at 18:30 PST on 11th December 2014. Presentations will include a look at Ethereon, the upcoming VR compatible puzzle-based videogame currently running a Kickstarter campaign, a preview of the SEEBRIGHT augmented reality (AR) technology soon to hit Kickstarter and a rundown of VR Chat, the VR social platform. Along with SEEBRIGHT sponsors for the event include the likes of Sixense, Technical Illusions Altspace VR and Jaunt.
The event will also host an Open Demo area in which attendees are free to bringing along their own projects or other work to showcase. Presentations will get underway at 19:00, with demo time then running until the party’s closure at 22:00. Those interested in attending can currently head to the event’s Meetup page. The entrance fee is set at $10 USD. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR-related news, reporting back with the latest updates.
