Monstrum Gets New Trailer Ahead of Early Access Debut

Next week sees the launch of an anticipated new horror experience from indie developer Team Junkfish. Monstrum will be launching in a pre-release form on 29th January 2015, granting players an early look into the first-person roguelike experience before it launches in full later on in the year. Today the developer has also launched a new gameplay trailer for the experience, which can currently be seen below.

Coming in at a minute and a half, the trailer consists entirely of gameplay taken from the title, in which players attempt to escape a derelict ship. As they search for an escape route players will be hunted by one of a number of different types of monster. If killed then they will have to start over with a new layout to the ship.

Monstrum is a virtual reality (VR) compatible experience but support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) won’t be hitting until the full version of the title arrives. VRFocus will continue to follow the experience, reporting back with any further updates on it.
