New Project Cars Screenshots Showcase Road Cars

It’s just under two months now until Slightly Mad Studio launches its anticipated new racing videogame, Project CARS. The title recently suffered a small delay that moved it into 2015, but it’s now anticipating a launch in late March. Today sees the developer provide a little more information of the virtual reality (VR) compatible title as it showcases road cars for the first time. A total of five images of this new vehicle can be seen below.

“Whilst we all salivate over the curves of an Italian sports car, the growl of a V8 engine, or the sublime handling of a highly-tuned GT machine, for most people their love for cars starts with the one parked on the driveway of their house,” the developer said of this new addition. “Whether that’s a hot hatchback, a luxury saloon, or a city runner, Project CARS has a number of vehicles on offer that you’d likely see driving around in your everyday life.”

Project CARS allows players to race across a wide range of disciplines or simply focus on one specific type. A whole manner of racing styles are included in the videogame from karting to driving exotic supercars as fast as possible. The PC version also features support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) while the PlayStation 4 version could be seeing Project Morpheus integration later on down the line.

Project CARS will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 17th March in the USA and 20th March in the EU. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on it.
