The launch of Slightly Mad Studios’ anticipated virtual reality (VR) compatible racing title, Project CARS, is nearing. The Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) supported videogame suffered a delay towards the end of 2014, pushing its release back into March 2015. Now that its release is closing in once more the developer has released a brand new trailer for the title. Dubbed ‘Start Your Engines’, the trailer can currently be seen below.
At two and a half minutes in length, there’s plenty of Project CARS‘ impressive gameplay on display here. The clips showcase everything from stylish sports cars to professional rally vehicles being driven around sunny courses. Project CARS aims to be an expansive racing title in which players can sample a number of different types of racing or simple stick to a preferred discipline.
Project CARS will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 17th March in the USA and 21st March in the UK. Support for the Project Morpheus HMD on PlayStation 4 is also expected to arrive later down the line. VRFocus will continue to follow Project CARS‘ progress, reporting back with any further updates on the title.
