SuperBike TT Passes Greenlight Campaign

Ghost Machine has announced that their second major virtual reality (VR) release, SuperBike TT has been approved by the Steam Greenlight community for inclusion in the growing Steam VR videogame library. SuperBike TT will be the second VR videogame Ghost Machines will offer to customers on the digital downloading service following Motorsport Revolution, which entered into Early Access in September 2014.

Developed by indie studio Tiny Utopia, SuperBike TT underwent a Kickstarter campaign back in March 2014. An early playable demo of SuperBike TT was shown at the 2014 SXSW Gaming Expo and made available via Oculus Share. Publisher Ghost Machine attributes a steadily growing audience to this early public showcase.

SuperBike TT was my studios first VR demo. It was made with the now defunct DK1 developer hardware and really struck players as a completely new experience. We have come a long way since then, and this game will really shine on the latest VR hardware taking advantage of the newer technology,” states Neal Nellans, CEO of Ghost Machine. “We could not be more excited to offer SuperBike TT on Steam. Seeing the growing support of VR in the games community as a whole shows the promise for developers who are taking the risk to focus on developing VR native games before the hardware is commercially available.”

SuperBike TT is currently expected to ship on Steam with support for the latest Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), as well as a traditional monitor version for those not owning a HMD, in March 2015. The final release date of SuperBike TT has not yet been announced, but VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest from Ghost Machine.
