Indie developer Folded Worlds has shown off its first virtual reality (VR) experience on Oculus VR Share called Ten To The Power VR. The videogame is based on a book by M.P. Adams which goes by the same name. This title is compatible with the second development kit (DK2) of Oculus Rift’s head-mounted display (HMD).
In the videogame there are boxes littered around surreal environments. The player’s goal is to collect all the boxes while a character called the Director is in pursuit. The videogame is intended to re-create scenes and characters from the book as VR plays a key part in the story. Ten To The Power VR is not the full release but a trial run so that the developer can gather feedback.
The book the title is based on is about a computer called the TENeleven which is capable of re-enacting historical events with great precision. The main protagonist, Felicity Orden is an engineer for the computer who finds out her life is in danger from an organisation which is interested in the TENeleven.
VRFocus will keep updates on the progress of the Ten To The Power VR.
