Slightly Mad Studios Talk Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus and Project CARS Post-Launch Plans

Following a delay from late 2014 to next month, Slightly Mad Studios have been granted a window to add extra polish to the upcoming Project CARS. This includes work on the virtual reality (VR) editions of the videogame, already confirmed for both Oculus Rift on PC and Project Morpheus on PlayStation 4. VRFocus took the time to speak with Pete Morrish, Lead Producer at Slightly Mad Studios, about the VR component of Project CARS.

In the interview below, Morrish discusses the compatibility with VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) featured in Project CARS, and also the potential avenue for launch on both Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus. Furthermore, Morrish openly states that the team would be keen to make use of HMDs for other formats, should either Microsoft or Nintendo reveal the development of a VR system for their respective consoles.

Project CARS is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC next month. You can watch the full interview with Slightly Mad Studios’ Morrish below and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on the VR component of Project CARS.
