Solo: Gaze Into Madness Passes Greenlight Campaign

VRFocus has previously reported on virtual reality (VR) puzzle title Solo: Gaze Into Madness launching its Steam Greenlight campaign. Now the videogame has secured enough up-votes to become readily available on Valve’s digital sharing platform. The title is to be compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).

The videogame adds a new dimension to puzzle based titles by allowing the player to think outside the box. Users are placed in the role of a press photographer named Sebastian who can only remember the headlines and photographs he had taken for the press. All other aspects of his life are unknown.

Players will uncover what is happening through solving puzzles. This usually involves being stuck in a room which users must find a way out. This can be done by walking through impossible doorways which lead to strange places. Using these strange puzzle devices creates a psychological horror feel to the videogame. This is also pushed by the player experiencing all of his anxiety and fear considering the loss of memory. In order to solve all of the puzzles, the developer states that the player ‘must lose of notion of spatial logic’.

The title aims to release later on in 2015. VRFocus will keep you updated on the latest news from Solo: Gaze Into Madness.
