Another entry on the Oculus VR Share platform, this time from developer Germano Guidi is tense horror demo Project Pipe. Lost in the dark industrial tunnels below a futuristic complex this highly atmospheric videogame sees you navigating your way up out of the darkness, only to find yourself stalked by a mysterious figures, plagued with visions and stumbling across evidence that someone has met a very grizzly end.
For a project that is, by the developer’s admission created as a way of learning Unreal Engine 4, this is a tech demo certainly worth checking out. With realistic detail on the in-game objects and making good use of particles and lighting, Project Pipe even at this early stage has an environment that generates a distinct sense of unease that will makes you wary of every door and corner.
Supporting the Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2 head-mounted display (HMD), Project Pipe is a free download that can be found now on Oculus VR Share.
