On first glance you might be tempted to label Sublevel Zero from Sigtrap Games as a flight simulator. But take a closer look at the title’s compact corridors and close-quarters action and you’ll realise that this is far from the case. This is an experience that shares far more with the likes of the Descent series than it does EVE: Valkyrie, making it one of virtual reality’s (VR) more unique upcoming videogames.
VRFocus recently spoke to Sigtrap Games’ Luke Thompson about Sublevel Zero and its support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). In the interview below, Thompson talks about creating a comfortable zero gravity VR experience as well as detailing the videogame’s crafting systems and more.
Sublevel Zero is due for release in summer 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on it.
