GameGuru Moves From Early Access To Full Steam Launch

It has never been easier for a videogame fan who believes they could do better than the professionals to channel their creativity into making something new.  Now following a successful few months on Steam Early access budding game designers have another tool to help further their creative ambitions.GameGuru_Screen1Revealed yesterday by developers The Game Creators, their game creation software GameGuru has now launched on Steam.  Refined with additional features following feedback from Steam Early Access users and boasting support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) the retail version now also contains a character creator, third-person mode, a 3D editor, team and co-operative modes, a video player for developing story cut scenes, support for additional 3D model formats and improved enemy AI.

“More gamers than ever want to create their own games and experiences and GameGuru is ideally placed to bring the world of game making to a wider audience.” Explains Development Director of The Game Creators , Rick Vanner. “With GameGuru we’re empowering any user of any talent level to make games, it’s just so easy to get your ideas up and running. We’ll be adding more features and listening to our community as we continue to improve and evolve GameGuru.”

Six DLC packs have also been made available, three ‘Mega Pack’ volumes containing a variety of building elements and settings from Asian and gothic to steampunk and urban themed buildings, items and effects.  These are joined by the Death Valley pack, Fantasy pack and Buildings pack.
