This month sees the release of Fireproof Games’ first foray into virtual reality (VR) development with Omega Agent. The first-person jet pack-based experience is now available for the latest version of the Gear VR smartphone-based head-mounted display (HMD), supporting Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 edge flagship smartphones. To celebrate the release, Fireproof Games has also revealed the first official trailer for Omega Agent, which can now be seen below.
The minute-long trailer provides plenty of gameplay footage from Omega Agent, giving fans their first real look at the title’s open world environment in which super-spies are trained to use nuclear-powered jet packs. There’s also a hint of the title’s mission variety, with some segments showcasing indoor environments in which players use guns to take down flying targets.
Omega Agent is also expected to release on the original version of Gear VR, which runs with the Galaxy Note 4 enlarged smartphone. A release date for this version of the videogame is yet to be announced. Fireproof Games also plans to bring the title to PlayStation 4 with support for the Project Morpheus HMD as well as PC with both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support. VRFocus will continue to follow the developer’s work in VR closely, reporting back with any further updates.
