Synthesis Universe -Maze- Confirmed for Project Morpheus & HTC Vive

The forthcoming Synthesis Universe has been showcased on the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) for over a year now, but this is not the only platform the independent developer intends to release the videogame on. Speaking directly to VRFocus, Olivier JT has revealed plans to launch on both the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus and Valve/HTC’s Vive also.

A demo version of Synthesis Universe -Maze- launched via Oculus Share late last year. Having received much positive commentary, Olivier JT is continuing with the development of Synthesis Universe -Maze- in parallel to the core Synthesis Universe experience. Synthesis Universe -Maze- will be the first Synthesis Universe title to launch, and will be available for both PC and PlayStation 4.

Synthesis Universe -Maze- relies heavily on user input, with Olivier JT a keen supporter of motion-control for virtual reality (VR) experiences. Posting on the official website for Synthesis Universe, the developer has stated: “As I want the player to experience in full VR, I have been holding back my content release because ALL the input contols are not yet ready. [sic]”

On that same website, Olivier JT has stated that ‘95% all the contents and assets are integrated’ in Synthesis Universe -Maze-, suggesting that a launch alongside or soon after the release of each respective HMD may not be out of the question. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Synthesis Universe -Maze- and other titles under the Synthesis Universe branding.
