Earlier in the month VRFocus reported on and then previewed with a hands-on Verizon Wireless’ has new virtual reality (VR) experience. The app shown initially on a Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) has users go behind the scenes to gain a unique insight into the life of an NFL player. Experiencing running out of the tunnel at the start of the game, getting psyched up at the beginning of the match with all your teammates and even the thrill of scoring an important touchdown, all through a 360-degree VR experience.
Now we have two new images of the experience courtesy of Two Bit Circus to share with you.
The first is an exclusive high definition version of the NFL players in a huddle. A small version of this was shown on the previous related news stories; this though shows the whole field of view in a much higher quality. Click the image to see it full size.
(Please note: a cropped version of this has now replaced the original image on the archived articles.)
The second image shows a different view of the aforementioned running through the tunnel out onto the field, again to see the image full size please click the picture.
Our thanks to Two Bit Circus for supplying the images. We’ll continue to follow the use of VR by Verizon as well as the various VR projects being worked used by both the NFL and its teams. We’ll bring you more news on all of these as we get it.
