ReelTime Virtual Reality App Launched

There are a growing number of virtual reality (VR) content platforms for consumers to experience and enjoy VR. Now ReelTime, a production and distribution VR company is looking to establish itself as one of the front runners with the recent launch of its ReelTime VR app.

The free application is available for iOS, Android and Blackberry smartphones and can be used with or without a VR head-mounted display (HMD) like the Google Cardboard. Currently only one video is available through the app, a ReelTime VR production with country music artist Megs Mclean called “Virtually Me”. The video shows viewers behind the scenes footage of Mclean in the recording studio while she records her breakout single “It’s My Truck” with drumming legend Ben Smith of “Heart” and producer Geoff Ott at world renowned London Bridge Studio. There is also further footage of her enjoying pastimes including horseriding.

All the footage was recorded using a proprietary system designed by ReelTime, being shot with 361VR and Red Dragon cameras, for higher picture quality. Rather than GoPro cameras which a lot of 360 degree VR videos are made with, claims ReelTime.

Further videos will be added to the app in time, and VRFocus will bring those details to you as they’re announced.
