Toybox Demo Video Release for Oculus Touch

One of the earliest demos available for the Oculus Touch motion controllers was Toybox. Used as an in-house testing platform at Oculus VR, attendees have been able to demo the software at events like E3 and Oculus Connect 2 this week. Now the virtual reality (VR) hardware manufacturer has released footage of the title to coincide with the keynote speech’s given earlier today.

Toybox was not only designed by Oculus VR to showcase the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) but also the various uses the motion controllers were designed to perform. One of the other main features of Toybox is its multiplayer features. Oculus VR’s founder Palmer Luckey has been recorded on a number of occasions demoing the title to journalists, to show how VR doesn’t need to be the solitary experience many critics claim it is.

In the video below, players can build using blocks on the table, shoot each other with catapults and rayguns, play table tennis and much more.

Even though the demo is available at the shows, Oculus VR is yet to reveal which titles including Toybox will be available when Oculus Touch launches in Q2 2016.

VRFocus will be reporting on all the latest details announced for the Oculus Touch and they’re released.
