Egyptian Mysteries Teaser Trailer Revealed

Virtual reality (VR) content platform Unimersiv, which specialises in educational software to work with Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard head-mounted displays (HMDs), has unveiled a trailer for its forthcoming title Egyptian Mysteries. The learning platform whose previous projects include Deep Space VR and Colosseum VR, is creating the title to teach users about ancient Egypt.

The video (shown below) features some of the puzzles and locations of the videogame,  as the quest takes players to the great Sphinx, inside the pyramid of Giza and to Ramses II. Egyptian Mysteries is an investigation game in which players have to find out what happened to the hero’s brother that just disappeared. While players are solving the quest and learning about the ancient Egyptians there will also be several mini-games including archery.

Egyptian Mysteries has been slated for release in the festive season for Gear VR, with an Oculus Rift version also due. Unimersiv has yet to announce if the videogame will be free or part of the company’s premium range.

The Samsung Gear VR consumer edition launched last week in the US for $99 USD with retailers like Best Buy selling out online within 24 hours. International releases have also begun with a number of European countries seeing pre-order listings on Samsung’s store site. The headset has received a small number of improvements over the Innovator Edition, including being 19% lighter and a re-designed touch pad.

VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest VR projects from Unimersiv, reporting back any announcements.
