Littlstar Launches 360 Video App on Apple TV

The Littlstar app which allows owners of smartphones to view 360-degree video content on their devices, and via head-mounted displays (HMDs) like Google Cardboard and Samsung’s Gear VR has announced a new platform for the app. Launching today Littlstar will now be available on Apple TV, giving users access to all of Littlstar’s 360 content.

Apple TV users are now able download the Littlstar app for free to watch videos from brands such as Showtime, Disney, Discovery, Fusion, PBS, Mountain Dew, National Geographic and Red Bull. Integrated with Apple TV’s latest Siri Remote, the app allows users to fully control the videos’ angles via the remote’s trackpad. Just like the app provides on Littlstar’s other platforms.

“Littlstar’s app for Apple TV brings an immersive 360 video experience to the television screen,” commented Tony Mugavero, founder and Chief Product Officer of Littlstar in a statement. “We wanted to give audiences the ability to consume this content from their living rooms and in a social environment. With Littlstar’s app, users can now view 360 videos on their televisions, and experience immersive video the same way they would a traditional TV program.”

“As more and more content creators look to 360 videos and virtual reality to tell stories and connect with consumers, we want to provide them with the widest distribution across platforms. The new Apple TV is the latest in a suite of consumer touch points that Littlstar offers brands and content studios,” adds Ben Nunez, CEO of Littlstar.

The company recently announced horror experience Last Man Standing for the platform, as well as a collaboration with multi-platform news and entertainment network, Fusion.

VRFocus will continue to follow the latest updates from Littlstar, reporting back with the latest announcements.
