EON Sports VR Hosting Talk at NVIDIA’s GTC Conference

EON Sports VR will talking about the challenges for VR sports training.

The role of virtual reality (VR) within sports has been reported quite frequently and for sometime now. Companies like EON Sports VR have been integrating VR technology into professional teams training programs as an additional method to training on the field. EON Sports VR has been involved with both Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) teams, and it’ll be discussing the challenges involved in a new talk announced for the Nvidia GPU Conference.

Under the title of Sports Training and Virtual Reality: Challenges in Making the Physical, Virtual, EON Sports VR CEO Brendan Reilly and EON Realities Inc. CTO Nils Andersson the future of sports training.


The official description for the sessions reads: “Using Virtual Reality, EON Sports VR has developed applications to bring specialized sports training to athletes, whether professionals or amateurs. The goal is to leverage Virtual Reality technology to provide realistic repetitions at game speed to improve on-field decision making. In doing this, the EON Reality and EON Sports VR development teams encountered specific challenges related to translating the training for American Football, Baseball, and Soccer to a Virtual Environment.”

Nvidia’s GPU Conference begins on 4th April, and will feature a big range of discussions, not only on VR but also augmented reality (AR) as well. These will include implications for the videogame industry, medicine, architecture and education to name a few.
