We’re into day three of the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016, and while yesterday was all about the latest PlayStation VR news from Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), today is all about Oculus VR and its Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). There’s been pricing details for the launch titles, what videogames are being shown at GDC 2016 along with a host of other info. The latest is the announcement of the Oculus Home layout for Oculus Rift.
In a blog posting today Oculus VR introduces the design by saying: “We designed Home from the ground up for VR, and it’s evolved significantly since its launch on Gear VR. Home is the best way to explore your library, discover new content, and connect with friends in VR.”
Having a similar layout type to the Gear VR’s design, three separate sections with the centre being the latest titles available on the store and recent videogames on the left. While on the right, rather than the Gear VR’s library, the Oculus Rift has a social area, showing which friends are online and pending requests.
Underneath the centre area are three buttons giving access to your library, shopping cart and a home button.
The Oculus Rift will be launching on the 28th March, and VRFocus will continue to bring you the latest announcements.
