Crossout is an MMO vehicle combat game where players destroy enemies in a post-apocalyptic world as a result of alien devastation as well as human genetic testing gone wrong. This title will come out as an Early Access title on Steam.
Players can expect a few new maps that offer varied modes of gameplay. Convoy Escort allows players to follow the truck which needs to be protected against scavengers and help it cross the map successfully. This map it straight forward and offers no turns, where there is a radar station placed in the middle which is described as a perfect place for an ambush.
Heist is a mission that requires players to face enemies and turrets, which both aim to destroy you in the giant labyrinth while you’re under a time limit.
Map Control 17 is the latest addition to the title, which offers an open and spacious map where plenty of fun can be had by long range weapons lovers and high speed drivers. “Be quick, be unpredictable, be desperate – this map indulges brave scavengers”.
“We are delighted to launch Crossout on Steam through Early Access and continue to build our vocal and collaborative community before Open Beta starts”, said Stanislav Skorb , CEO of Targem Games, in a press release. “Closed Beta players help us shape the direction of development to build the experience that the community demands.”
Although it doesn’t state on the Steam store page that it is in fact a virtual reality (VR) title, the VRFocus staff played this title during Gamescom, and so VR support is expected to come.
Crossout is available right now for £25.99 (GBP), with VR yet to be added.
