Digital Domain to Produce 360 Nobel Peace Prize Concert With Gyro and Warner Bros. Norway Partnership

This is the studios big break in Europe.

Three companies are better than one when it comes to 360 degree video content, and that’s why Digital Domain, an influential visual effects studio, has now announced its partnership with Gyro AS and Warner Bros. AS to distribute the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in 360 and virtual reality (VR).

The stream will be free, and it will be available to view online or on the Digital Domain VR app. Those who will be featuring during the concert are Halsey, Highasakite, Marcus & Martinus, A-Ha, and Kygo, with hosts such as Conan O’Brien in the concert and Derek Muller on YouTube.

“We knew we’d need a partner alongside Gyro with both the technical knowhow and expertise to seamlessly produce and broadcast an event like this live in 360° to an audience around the world,” said Odd Arvid Stromstad, Managing Director, Warner Bros. Norway in a press release. “Digital Domain is a leading global technology and entertainment content producer, and we look forward to sharing this significant event and sharing the message of peace.”

It will be taking place on 11th December at 7pm CET.
