Kinect and Gear VR Combine for Full-Body VR in Hit Motion

You can download Hit Motion from the developers website.

Immotionar has announced the launch of a new virtual reality (VR) videogame combining the Samsung Gear VR with Microsoft Kinect. Hit Motion, now available to download for free, showcases full-body VR using VR platforms and Kinect’s depth camera.

In Hit Motion players will find themselves placed within a ring in outer space. Tasked with hitting every enemy that comes within range using physical gestures – punches or kicks – Hit Motion is showcased in the video below with Samsung’s mobile VR platform. The version available to download now includes compatibility with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, OSVR Hacker Dev Kit and Gear VR. Currently, both Kinect and Kinect 2.0 are the only supported cameras, but more are planned for the future.

“Our vision is that everyone should use his/her full body in VR, because only using the full body you can have true virtual reality,” reads the official post for Hit Motion on Immotionar’s website, before also revealing the ImmotionRoom system currently in development. This platform will also allow users to see every part of their body within a VR space.

You can download Hit Motion and the ImmotionRoom demo from Immotionar’s official website. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest innovations for full-body VR experiences.
