Ubisoft Look to VR to Promote For Honor

Ubisoft’s early 2017 blockbuster benefits from a new 360 degree trailer.

Ahead of the launch of Ubisoft’s highly anticipated For Honor, coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC next week, the publisher has taken-up the current trend of revealing 360 degree trailers for the videogame. Titled ‘In the Battle’, this CGI video transports viewers directly to the centre of an epic clash on the battlefield.

In the midst of a foggy plain, an everlasting war continues as the three great Factions are locked in battle. Each of them strives to rebuild their nations as they take to the frontline in fierce close-range combat to bring glory back to their people. This motion-captured, 360-degree video experience introduces viewers to the world of For Honor as Knights, Samurai and Vikings embark in perpetual conflict.

Ubisoft has been a keen supporter of virtual reality (VR) in recent months, with several software titles released specifically making use of the new medium and now video content designed for viewing on a head-mounted display (HMD). While For Honor itself isn’t a VR compatible title, you can bet there’s more to come from Ubisoft in due course, and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details from the publisher.
