Room Escape Experience Co-developed by Real World Escape Room Business

A-Escape VR is newly launched and available for 25% Discount on Steam.

Room escape games are becoming increasingly popular, not just in virtual reality (VR), but also in the real world. Now developer Thomas Neptune has teamed up with a real world room escape business to create a virtual room escape videogame.

A-Escape VR was co-designed with a real-world escape room business A-Escape, the Asheville Escape Room in order to make the experience as immersive as possible. As is typical of the genre, the player is placed in a room that is filled with complex puzzles and mysteries that they must solve in order to escape.

The second trailer uses a fairly effective background sound of a ticking clock to quietly express urgency as keys are discovered and complex combination locks are examined. A-Escape VR supports the HTC Vive, though the developers say that an Oculus Rift with Touch version is in development.

A-Escape VR usually costs £6.99 (GBP) on Steam, but it is currently available with a 25% discount, bringing the price down to £5.24. This offer is available until 7th April 2017.

Further information can be fond on the official Steam page.

VRFocus will continue to bring you news of discounts and new releases for VR experiences.
