Rumours Of LA Noire Remastered – May Include VR Support

Industry insiders indicate that a remaster of LA Noire could be coming to consoles – and it might have PlayStation VR support.

Rumours of a return of the popular detective title have been circulating for several months now, after a tweet from an industry insider indicated that LA Noire: Remastered might be heading to the Nintendo Switch. Now rumours are indicating that the rumoured remaster might have first-person mode and virtual reality (VR) support.

The rumours came from tipsters on Twitter, one of whom was a noted Rockstar insider, who published Tweets suggesting that Rockstar were planning on bringing LA Noire to Nintendo Switch, along with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A further tweet from Direct-Feed Games indicated a release would be expected in late summer 2017. Though since there was no word on the existence of the remaster at E3, rumours died down somewhat, however, new information has been uncovered suggesting the title is still on its way.

ComicBook.Com claims to have heard from no less than three trusted inside sources that said that the title was not only still in development, but that additional features such as a first-person mode were being added to the title for all versions of the remaster. In addition, VR features are said to have been prototyped for the PlayStation 4 version of the title.

There has been no official word from Rockstar on the existence of an LA Noire Remaster. The earlier rumours indicated a later Summer 2017 release date, but with such a large slate of titles expected to be released in the second half of 2017, some analysts are predicting that, if the title does exist, it is likely to be pushed back to 2018, though Rockstar will have to be careful with its release windows to ensure it doesn’t compete with it’s other big release of 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2, which is currently expected in Spring 2018.
