Experience Nicolas Cage and The Humanity Bureau in VR

The Humanity Bureau VRevolution is here to take you closer to Nic Cage in VR.

Conventional media is adapting to virtual reality (VR) as quickly as possible. The quick adoption rate of the technology throughout the world has quickly propelled VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) from being a specialist device to something you can get with a phone contract, and it has happened incredibly quickly. You can watch Netflix in VR, YouTube in VR, and so much more, yet very seldom is the technology actually used during the production of big budget blockbusters. Well, that’s not exactly going to change now, but you will at least be able to see Nicolas Cage and the rest of the cast from the upcoming The Humanity Bureau in an interesting VR spin off.

Variety reports that The Humanity Bureau is about a world ravaged by Global Warming and economic recession, and the new movie will be accompanied by an episodic series called The Humanity Bureau VRevolution. We don’t know how to pronounce VRevolution either.

If you’re interested in Nic Cage’s latest big budget movie, you’ll be happy to know The Humanity Bureau VRevolution will provide you with interesting insight on alternative storylines that exist alongside the feature film, and they can also be viewed as a standalone series, in case you’re not bothered about the main movie.

“We shot the film in three different formats, including standard theatrical, 3-screen Barco Escape theatrical, and cinematic virtual reality to provide multiple avenues for audiences to engage with and experience the story’s universe,” said producer Kevin DeWalt. “We hope to give viewers more options for alternative content within today’s new media.”

The production has got big names such as Nicolas Cage, Sarah Lind, Jakob Davies and Hugh Dillon starring in it, making it one of the bigger productions for VR, even if it is a spin off of a movie.

New VR content is always good news, and with big actors and big budgets going into this production it could end up being one of the more impressive VR experiences available. We’ll have more news on The Humanity Bureau VRevolution as it comes, for all of the latest of VR entertainment and videos, make sure to stay reading VRFocus.
