Racket Ball Meets Data Mining in Early Access Title Miney Company: A Data Racket

The title supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

Indie developer Glass Temple Games has just launched its first virtual reality (VR) title on Steam Early Access, a sporty little number called Miney Company: A Data Racket, which mixes the worlds of racket ball and data mining together.

With a light-hearted story where players work from home for their new employers, Miney Company, their job is to collect data blocks from around the universe for Miney Company to profit from, selling them to high-bidding potentially nefarious multinational corporations. With a racket in hand, players not only need to collect data across 13 levels, they also need to protect what they have collected to gain currency, being able to spend it on new rackets or saving up to defeat the end boss quickly.

In its current Early Access form Miney Company: A Data Racket features the entire campaign from start to finish. During Early Access Glass Temple Games aim to refine the experience further, improving not only the visual style and artwork, but adding more content and features. This could include new rackets, each of which has its own particular ball physics, more levels, additional power-ups and possibly mini-bosses, all of which is depending on Steam community feedback.

“The Early Access part means we’ll have extra time and resources to add more diverse gameplay and more customizations to make Miney Company a truly memorable experience,” states the team on Steam. “We’ll be actively engaging in numerous internet forums to respond to player feedback as much as possible. In fact, we want your suggestions right now! New paddles, power-ups, mission modes, and more, we want to hear it!”
