Drunk or Dead Developers announce New VR Title

4iLab Studio will be showcasing new VR title Blood, Bugs and Bullets (B3) at DevGAMM Moscow.

4iLab Studio, the developers behind successful quirky wave shooter Drunk or Dead have announced a new virtual reality (VR) title called Blood, Bugs and Bullets or B3. The title will be shown for the first time at DevGAMM Moscow.

B3 has been created as a tactical VR shooter where the player is part of a squad of soldiers attempting to defend the world from an invasion by hordes of alien insectoid creatures.

The gameplay involves the player carefully positioning themselves to get the best firing angle on a large battlefield. Multiplayer was in mind when B3 was created, though the title is currently in the early phases, the plan is for involvement of other players to considerably alter the dynamics as the group cooperates to position themselves in the best way to destroy the alien invaders.

The demo version available at DevGAMM Moscow will include two storyline missions. The first is a battle between the insectoids and a convoy carrying the queen of the swarm. The player will be dropped from an orbital carrier directly into the heart of the battle in progress with the goal of protecting the convoy and stopping the aliens from releasing the queen.

The second mission involves defending a base as waves upon waves of insectoid aliens charge forward intent on rescuing the queen who is trapped inside. Players need to break the assault and ensure the aliens do not succeed.

B3 will be shown for two days at the VR1 exhibition booth at DevGAMM Moscow, 2018, which is set to occur from 17th-18th May, 2018 at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow. Further information can be found on the DevGAMM website.

The title is planned to be released on Autumn of 2019, and will be compatible with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality devices. The teaser trailer is available to view below.
