Protect and Serve as Traffic Cop VR Announces Release Date

As a traffic cop on a busy intersection, you main task is to finish your shift in one piece.

It’s the 1950s, the era of Grease and American Graffiti, where hot rodders rule the roads. To keep them under control and preserve the safety of the roads stands a single traffic cop, played by you in Traffic Cop VR.

As you would expect, Traffic Cop VR puts you in the role of a member of the police form charged with enforcing the rules of the road on a very busy city intersection. The main goal is to survive the day against a horde of crazy drivers.

Players will need to learn patterns and direct traffic in the most efficient way while dodging or throwing back the food that is hurled in your direction. Except the donuts, of course, those are a vital source of energy for any cop.

Not every vehicle will pay attention to the rules of the road, and different cars will move at different speeds, so in order to prevent disaster, you’ll need to watch and anticipate in order to avoid accidents and delays for the citizens.

Mini-games are available to unlock featuring things such as giant birds that you have to shoot down with a slingshot, or an alien invasion that needs to be taken out with a powerful ray gun, then there are the hot rodders who want to cover your spotless uniform in dirt, and you of course need to prevent that from happening.

Players need to also keep in mind that no shift lasts forever, so it is important to keep an eye on the clock to know how much time if left to sort out the traffic on your intersection.

Traffic Cop VR has been created by Brian Bobik in collaboration with Warden Game Studios, who have announced that the title will be coming to Steam on 29th May, 2018 and it will be compatible with the HTC Vive headset, priced at $19.99.

There are plans for a version of Traffic Copy VR on Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR. VRFocus will bring you further news on developments as they become available.
