VR Thriller Dead Secret Circle Comes to all Oculus Platforms and Steam

The original Dead Secret is now available for PlayStation VR.

After creating the popular puzzle thriller Dead Secret indie developer Robot Invader announced a sequel in 2017, adding a greater horror element to the proceedings with Dead Secret Circle. The videogame has now launched, arriving simultaneously for Oculus Rift, Oculus Go and Samsung Gear VR, as well as on Steam.

Dead Secret Circle

Dead Secret Circle is set five years after the previous title, taking place in Chicago during 1971. Investigator Patricia Gable is on the hunt for a serial killer which leads her to a condemned apartment building in East Chicago. In this dilapidated part of town she finds those forgotten by society, who are too poor or just to stubborn to leave for a better life. It’s here she must uncover the secrets she needs to track down the killer, although there’s a strange air of familiarity about the building.

In this horror filled journey you’ll encounter seven suspects who need to be interviewed, learning not only who they are but also their secrets. The killer is called The Laughing Man who appears to have a mysterious power to infect the dreams of Gable and other people of the city.

Using first-person controls you’re freely able to wander around looking for clues to solve the various puzzles that block your path, as well as a huge collection of hidden items and documents. Depending on how you solve the clues and the choices you make Dead Secret Circle has multiple endings to keep you coming back for more.

This sequel has some big shoes to fill as the original received VRFocushighly prized five star rating, stating: “Dead Secret is a wonderful exploration of the capabilities of mobile VR. The amount of detail paid to the mis-en-scene and character development is remarkable, with Easter eggs adding to the background of your character alongside the plot development and storylines of the suspects.”

Dead Secret Circle is available now on Steam for a limited time discount of £9.89 GBP. It can be found on Oculus Store for all three headsets retailing at £10.99. And for PlayStation VR owners the original Dead Secret launched last month for the device. For any further updates, keep reading VRFocus.
