Arrowborn Enters Steam Early Access

New virtual reality title lets ten players battle it out with bows and magical arrows.

Indie virtual reality (VR) developer Kung Fu Robots have announced that their new title, Arrowborn, has been released into Steam Early Access. The VR videogame is a player-versus-player archery title where up to 10 players can battle against each other in teams or on their own in action packed fun.


Founded early this year, Kung Fu Robots is made up of two developers who have been making gaming experiences for many years. Having made their mark in the modding community by building a number of Quake2 mods, the team are now bringing their skills to the VR.

Players will be able to enter the fast-paced and visceral action of a multiplayer first-person shooter combined with the immersive experience of VR archery, all while battling for the top score. By mastering lethal accuracy and utilizing a maps tactics, players will be able to rule the battlefield as they unleash arrow after arrow at their enemies. With an ever-expanding assortment of magical arrows each with their own unique powers, players will be able to not only wreak havoc with them but use gems in their armor to increase other stats. This includes more mana, better survivability and many other surprises. Arrowborn is a title in which players build their play-style and loadout for themselves, using the systems in place to become the greatest warrior.


With support for up to 10 players, there are a number of game modes available. This includes Team Deathmatch or Free-For-All along with the option to fill any empty spaces with computer controlled players as well. If you need to get some practice or would rather not deal with other people then the title also features target shooting. This can be done alone or with a friend and even has a competitive mode available also.

Arrowborn is expected to be in Early Access for around 6 months to a year with plenty of new features planned for the final release. This will include a single player and co-op mode, new cosmetics, more multiplayer game modes, daily quests and objectives, more maps, sounds and music, and countless improves.
