Reality Clash Developers Finalise eSports Sponsorship Deal With Sørby

Reality Gaming Group to sponsor team’s shirts, academy and appearance at Counter-Strike tournament.

Regular VRFocus readers will be familiar with The Reality Gaming Group – developer and publisher of the mobile augmented reality (AR) combat game Reality Clash. In the title players can join a team, which can comprise up to 200 people, to battle against other players or alternatively they can engage with AR bots who are scattered across the map if no other players are currently in your area.

Reality ClashReality Clash, which is due for release later this year, has featured a number of times on the site, thanks in part to the developer diary series which goes into the development of the title and covers everything from the development of the AR components to the implementation of blockchain and geo-location. Their latest move, however, takes them into the world of eSports – not as a platform, but as a sponsor.

The ink has dried on a new deal which sees Reality Clash become a major sponsor for Denmark-based eSports community Sørby. A three-part agreement, has the title becoming shirt sponsor for the team, become a sponsor for the Sørby Academy and will also cover the team’s participation in the Switzerland-based Supreme Masters Counter-Strike tournament this September.

The agreement is the first of its kind for Reality Gaming Group. as the company’s CEO and Co-Founder Morten Rongaard explained.

Reality Clash is focusing on being part of the worldwide and growing eSport community and we are planning to host and develop our own type of games using Blockchain technology. We are already in the early stages of development and Sørby eSport is playing an important role in that process.”

“We see a great potential in partnering with Reality Clash, a lot of exciting things are happening in Sørby and in the near future we are opening an eSports centre in the city of Slagelse.” Added Sørby eSport Chairman Mark Kristensen, in a statement. “Our community means everything to us and with a new partner it will give us more resources to give the best experiences to our members. We welcome Reality Clash to the Sørby eSport family and we are looking forward to what the future brings!”

VRFocus will bring you more news about Reality Clash and other AR videogames in the near future.
